Climate Resilience at COP23
The UN Climate Resilience Initiative A2R, in close collaboration with its Partners, is raising the profile of climate resilience at COP23.
Climate resilience features as a cross-cutting issue throughout the Global Climate Action Days of COP23, culminating in three-high level events organized by the UN Climate Resilience Initiative and it Partners:
- Roundtable on Unblocking investment in climate resilience on Monday 13 November (13:15-14:45, Room 3, GCA Campus, Bonn Zone)
- Why Resilience Matters? Challenges and Solutions for Building Climate Resilience in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and other vulnerable countries on Tuesday 14 November (11:30-13:00, Room 6, GCA Campus, Bonn Zone)
- Working with nature to build climate resilient and sustainable development on Tuesday 14 November (15:30-17:00, Room 2, GCA Campus, Bonn Zone)
In addition, the UN Climate Resilience Initiative is organizing and contributing to a number of events at COP23:
- A2R side event: How can COP23 help deliver climate resilience to the most vulnerable on Tuesday 7 November (09.30-10.30, Fiji Pavilion, Bonn Zone)

- InsuResilience Partnership Forum on Thursday 16 November, where A2R will organize a working session on links between insurance and social protection and launch a joint contest with InsuResilience and the Climate CoLab on “Absorbing climate shocks and stresses” (all day event, Deutsche Welle)
